Dry pavement and 40+ degree weather had us feeling like it was summertime yesterday! We’ve been powering through some pretty wet and cold weather lately trying to continue making our Sunday rides a thing, and yesterdays ride finally freed us up to talk about things besides which of our body parts are in what state of numbness or pain. We leave the shop at nine Sunday mornings and tailor our rides depending on who shows, how we’re feeling that day, and what will get us back in time to open shop at noon. We’ve got a variety of rides we do, but one of my favorites is the Rockcreek loop we did yesterday.
Starting from the shop we climb Thompson and descend the other side. Cut over to Skyline via Laidlaw/Kaiser/Brooks, drop down to Rockcreek, loop around back to Skyline, cruise Skyline to Saltzman, and then the super-fun gravel descent down to Hwy 30 and back to the shop.
Tim and Brandon ahead with Nick’s wheels lurking, Carl and Kelly on Kaiser, Carl attempting a smile for the camera on Rockcreek.
The gang dropping in at the top of Saltzman, Tim mid-Saltzman.
Please come join us Sundays at nine. Anyone is welcome and we’re always looking for new recruits! We ride in a wide variety of conditions and temperatures but please call and check-in if it looks like it may be extra nasty, we’re just in it for the fun! Call with any questions 503-222-2851.
