We can help you out with many things, but we don’t know everything. However, we do know where to send you.
Velodirt.com - We sponsor the fine folks of VeloDirt in their continuing mission to seek out new roads and new routes, to boldly go and map the best dirt road rides in the Northwest. The site has a treasure trove of routes, and if you want to come out and ride they put on a few “organized” rides every year. Maybe we’ll see you out there.
BikePortland.org - Portland-centric bicycle news site with an authentic journalistic presence. Portland is lucky to have this resource to keep us connected to all kinds of bicycle-related news from the region.
RideOregonRide.com - The Oregon Tourism Commission promotes bike tourism and they’ve invested in signing some great routes around the state, and made RideOregonRide.com as a clearinghouse for Oregon bike travel info. It’s not comprehensive but the all information is of good quality.
Blind Date at the Dairy - The most fun you’ll have on a Wednesday night with your clothes on. We’ve sponsored Oregon’s best nighttime Cyclocross series for years, and we provide on site neutral mechanics as well as free demo bikes in case you want to race but don’t own a suitable rig.
Oregon Randonneurs - If you’re into putting in some long days on the bike, check out the Oregon Randonneurs. Randonnee riding is about self-supported group rides between from 100 to 600(!!!) kilometers and the Oregon chapter puts on full schedule of rides.
Additionally, we find the following pages informative and/or amusing:
www.pathlesspedaled.com - Russ and Laura are bike tourism proponents and world travelers. In addition to tourism and route info, they use and chronicle lots of gear we sell (and some we’ve sold to them.)
www.allhailtheblackmarket.com - Stevil Kinevil on bikes, art and partying
www.redkiteprayer.com - Thoughtful writing about all things relating to road cycling
www.adventurecycling.org - Started way back in 1976 to promote cross-country rides for America’s Bicentennial, Adventure cycling has maps and information galore for riders interested in touring.
