Our Community
Some People and Groups we support, and others who are awesome.
21st Avenue Bicycles supports our community! From the "old days" of Backyard Blam! events to our latest venture with Swift Racing we like to help out good folks doing good things.
OUR MOTHER THE MOUNTAIN
These guys specialize in networking Forest Service roads together to create some of the more scenic and mind-bending road link-ups. OMTM helps keep you from turning a 3 hour ride into 6 hours of dead ends in the wilds of Oregon. All free, these routes are the result of Brandon and Ron getting lost many times, so you don't have to. So nice!
VELODIRT
We have been supporting the route scouting / gravel ride promoting / bikepacking advocates of VeloDirt for years. VeloDirt has been a pioneering force in promoting the resurgence of riding on Oregon's somewhat forgotten backroads, and we've been there from the beginning, helping to outfit VeloDirt riders and hauling "finish line" beers out to events.
SWIFT RACING
Swift Racing VAN/PDX is our shop sponsored bicycle race team. The partnership grew out of our support for the Blind Dtae at the Dairy Cyclocross series, and the team charter revolves around FUN and volunteering for the cycling community. Swift racers all contribute through bicycle related charities, volunteering in the race community, trail building and maintenance and supporting community events. We also have a good time out at the races with a heady mix of cheering and heckling our teammates.
The Blind Date at the Dairy
The Blind Date at the Dairy cyclocross series has been providing a fun early season proving ground for cyclocross racers since 2009 and we've been helping out the whole time. In addition to providing financial support, we provide neutral mechanical support every Wednesday night. See you out there in September 2015!
BikePortland.org
For 2015, we're sponsoring Bike Portland's expanded and continuing coverage of Oregon's gravel and dirt road bounty. With the explosion of events like the Oregon Outback, the Coast Gravel Epic and the Perry-Roubaix / Salem Gravel Grinder there has never been a time like now to search out new rides and help expand Bike Portland's coverage of all the riding in the Portland area beyond the paved streets of the daily commute.
