Wow we look amazing

by Kyle on December 17, 2010 · 1 comment

Our pal James Wilson dropped this on us early. I know what you are thinking, Man these guys look great. Its true we do look great but more importantly our looking great is for a greater good, for something higher than simple vanity. We look good because we want you the customer to look good, really we are simply a mirror, a reflection of how wonderful you are as customers. From here on out, WE look good, WE look great, WE look AMAZING. Hearts

Not to be out done Sean stepped in to do his best Tyson impersonation. Please note that the footwear though seasonally appropriate is not considered to be rain gear and is therefor not on sale per this special. Honestly folks we need all the help we can get. Please PLEASE

Choir, I’m going to preach. We all know helmets are important but I still see so many of you out there riding without your helmets. On the 16th day of Christmas Helmets are 20% off, don’t go out any longer with out protection.

If your bicycle is a kingdom then your saddle is the throne, no Queen or King wants a tawdry throne. Remember the end of Conan the Barbarian where he is sitting on his throne, here is your chance at emulation.

We all know that rooster tails look awesome, if the light hits them just right you have this wonderful rainbow arc trailing you, unfortunately that beautiful shimmering arc is also the cause of that nice streak up your back. Lets face it if you are riding then you don’t even get to see the rainbow. Come in on the 14th to buy a set for 25% off.

Ah Panniers, the backpack of the bicycle. Amanda happens to be very proud of this photo and I am very proud of her pride and well we think that you should be proud of us. Panniers were the game changer that made this whole pride wheel happen.

Let me introduce Kevin Phomma, aka K-Phomma aka Phomma aka Lotion aka Black Heart Black Heat, 21st Avenue Bicycle’s newest intern. You may have already seen a few images of this handsome devil on various blogs and sites through out the internet, its true Kevin is some what of a celebrity in the Portland bicycle world. In addition to being an intern, K-Phomma also schralps the local Cyclocross scene for Team Trusty Switchblade. Yes both Amanda and Sean race for Trusty Switchblade, yes this is nepotism, and no we are not worried about it.

We try to keep our interns busy here at the shop, as we say “homies that hang out help out,” and Phomma does his more than fair share of helping out. The weather today, to quote a familiar holiday phrase is “frightful” and this means that most people are not thinking about their bicycle commute. Accordingly it is clean and organize time at 21st Avenue Bicycles and though there is a time and a place for interns to clean and organize, after recognizing the weather K-foam road through to get here I thought it would be better to buy him a burrito from Laughing planet and ask him to put together a multimedia bio.

Whats a multimedia bio? I have asked Phomma to put together a few websites, videos, bands, images… things from the WWW that he thinks will give us all a better understanding of who he is. Phomma, take it away
