Our pal and co-worker Aaron Edge has just launched a new clothing brand called Upness. The brand is a joint venture himself as a similarly awesome gent from LA named Errin, brought together by their love of cycling, hiking, running and the somewhat less positive link that both of their lives have been impacted by Multiple Sclerosis. As they put it in their brand motto: “The Mountain: a metaphor for any tough obstacle in our lives. We could go around it, but we choose to climb it… without great speed, but with an unwavering commitment to the effort it takes to face it, head on.”
Well put guys. We like the notion of Upness, as well as the variety of sweet designs they’re bringing to T-shirts, Bottles, Cycling Kit and more. We’ll have some of their bright (MS Awareness) orange bottles in store soon, and we still have a few limited edition “Ride Up a Mtn” shirts in Navy (only in-store at 21st).
Also, tomorrow (Friday July 26) is the last day to get in on the pre-order for the first edition Upness cycling kit, featuring the logos of the awesome group of people and business supporting this project, like Prolly, Golden Saddle Cyclery and Cedar Cycling. Go to Upness and check it out, then order yourself some fly stretchy pants. Now.
