Introducing Mr Furley and Mr Roper

There are a couple of new faces in the 21st Avenue Bicycles stable. Raleigh has pulled a few familiar names from the TV land vaults, say hello to the new Furley and Roper.

Mr. Roper

The Roper

I wouldn’t say that this bike is cheap, rather I think that the folks at Raleigh took a page out of Mr Roper’s book and build a well appointed bike for an amazing price. Unlike Mr. Roper who ends up looking like a dupe in each episode due to pernicious greed, those of you who ride a Roper will end up feeling like you got something over on us when you ride one of these steel disc-brake 105 equipped clean machines out of the shop.

Have a problem with too many gears? Raleigh thought you might and decided to produce the Furley.

Ok at times you may want to wear clothes that speak louder than words and drink champagne from the bottle, who doesn’t.

With the Furley, Raleigh has put together a bad ash single speed disc brake cross bike, want a little attention, how about a hunter orange paint scheme. The same color that has been keeping most people from getting shot while tramping around the woods. Sounds like the perfect Portland bike right? It very well could be. I will be testing this thing through out the Portland cyclocross season along with the rest of the Poler X Raleigh X EM cyclocross team. Stay tuned for an in depth review. Oh the price? $749.99. Now you will have plenty of money left over to give yourself a victory celebration and drink endless champagne from the bottle after bottle after bottle.

Come in, try them out, and buy buy buy

You trust me right
