Happy Endings: Mt. Hood edition

By every account except maybe Carl’s (who got lost and finished in the dark), the first annual Gender Neutral Rapscallion Reacharound was a resounding success. We had a great turnout, the team format seemed to work, and no one died. If that’s not success, I don’t know what is. And it certainly didn’t hurt that we were blessed with perfect weather. What a day! Here are the route details for those of you who couldn’t make it.

I’d really like to thank the gentlemen over at Team JVA for joining forces to put this on. As everyone knows, these guys are hilarious, always have fun, and never ever take themselves seriously. It’s always a pleasure to have them show up at VeloDirt rides, and it was especially pleasurable to spend a day giving each other reacharounds.

As usual, big thanks to everyone who showed up and rode. We appreciate that we can organize a ride, make it truly self-supported, and know that all of you are capable of taking care of yourselves. We love you for it, and love getting the opportunity to ride with you. I also want to give a big shout out to VeloDirt’s sponsors - 21st Avenue Bikes and Wabi Woolens - both of which sported Reacharound riders. They help make these rides possible and I encourage you to return the favor.

Ok, enough with the virtual reacharounds - let’s get to what everyone is looking for - results! Because no one wants their name to pop up when googling “reacharounds”, we opted to post results on a separate page. Click this link, password is “reacharound”.

Here are a handful of photos from the day, courtesy of Nicette, Harth from Wabi Woolens and myself. If you want to see more photos, search for #gnrr on instagram, there are plenty more. Feel free to add links to your own photos, etc. to the comments below. Cheers!
