The worst crash I've ever had was while racing to class in college- I mistimed hopping a curb, ended up wiping out and getting road rash up my entire left side.

My best days have all been outside.

I check BikePortland every day to keep abreast of what's happening in town.

 What is the next piece of bike technology that should be improved? 

It would be nice if road bikes had taller head tubes. Most non-professional riders could use a bit less agressive position.

What is the best thing you've found on the ground while riding?

The most repulsive or unsavory thing you've ever ridden through? 

Fresh Horse Crap on the trail is the worst.

My phone, and my 3-way allen key if I'm at work.

Describe your biggest wipeout ever.

Went over the bars going down a steep downhill after grabbing a fistful of brakes and finding out that the front brake was not adjusted properly and caused a flat and for me to go flying.  After coming to and getting myself gathered within 30 seconds of clearing the road a loaded log truck flew past.

Or maybe it was when I ate pavement and broke 3 teeth and did a number on my face good thing there was no bike involved with that just a kids three wheel razor and whiskey.

What is the best thing you’ve found on the ground while riding?

My knife, or any other personal item that I lost while riding.

The most repulsive and unsavory thing you’ve ridden over/through?

Alligator and/or Armadillo I think that I got both on the same ride.  By far the worst smell would have to be the stench of any of Kurt’s farts.

The most public place you’ve puked during or after riding?

On the side of HWY 30
