So many fun new builds

We’ve been super-busy of late, so I’m catching up on posting three custom projects all at once. Feast your eyes on a Surly Disc Trucker we built for Iain from Norway. He came over and rode it on tour, and then boxed it and took it back home where it will see duty as a trailer tow-er and winter commuter. 2×10 Drive and hydraulic brakes; comfy, safe and reliable all around.

There’s a lot going on around the rear dropout, but companies like Surly, Tubus and SKS think these things out and everything plays together nicely.

Next up is a Waterford road bike that the client brought us to be stripped of parts, repainted and rebuilt. We took off all the parts, took the frame to Brooker’s for powdercoating and picked out a nice green color to replace the former “meh” orange paint. Once we got it back from paint we picked out some sweet new tires, saddle and bar tape to compliment the green frame and silver Ultegra 6600 group.

It came out pretty nicely if we don’t say so. We actually ended up putting a silver/polished Ritchey Classic road stem, bar and seatpost on the bike as well, which really “tied the room together,” to use the parlance of our times.

Lastly, here’s our latest Surly custom. A cross check 1×9 flatcar, inspired in part by the Pacer we built a few months back, but a bit more stealthy.
